Surry Community College Scholarships
- Slemens Scholarship
- Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: be in high school (grades 9-12) in the United states, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Wake and Midway Islands, or the Marianas.

- West Teaching Scholarship: Catawba College
- Information: The scholarship is a yearly award of $2,500 in addition to any other academic scholarships for which the student is eligible. The teaching academy provides a wealth of experiences including early field experiences, excursions, and professional networking. There are currently 20 West Teaching Scholars across four cohorts.

- Army ROTC Scholarship
- Criteria: Student must be a US Citizen who is between the age of 17-31 and hold a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must have a SAT score of 920 or higher or an ACT of 19 or higher. Applicant must be medically qualified, pass the Army Physical Fitness Test, and have no civil convictions.

- The Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship
- Criteria: Must be enrolled as a full-time high school senior with plans to enter college no later than the Fall semester following high school graduation. Student must exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution). Student must demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required). Must be involved in co-curricular and community service activities and display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. Student must be a United States citizen and hold a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0.

- NC State Employees’ Credit Union “People Helping People” Scholarship
- Criteria: Graduating senior with at least a 2.5 GPA attending one of the UNC-System universities (any public school in NC). Student should exemplify the philosophy of “People Helping People,” demonstrate leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement. Student should not have received a full scholarship to a public university.

Whitlow-Osborne Scholarship
- Criteria: Available to high school seniors entering into an emergency services curriculum in Alamance, Alleghany, Ashe, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, or Yadkin counties. High school academics, honors, extracurriculars, community involvement, work experience, and financial need considered.

- Criteria: A deserving high school senior who has faced exceptionally difficult personal and/or family circumstances. These challenges will have imposed extraordinary responsibility on the student. Surry County Farm Bureau Scholarship
- Criteria: Scholarships are awarded to rising university/college freshmen who demonstrate the intention to pursue a career in agriculture, or in an agriculturally-related field. The student must demonstrate financial need and maintain satisfactory grades during their time in college. The student must have leadership potential as well as an evident understanding of the agricultural and/or agribusiness community.

Frontier Natural Gas Company LLC 2016 Scholarship
- Criteria: For consideration, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen and reside in either Watauga, Ashe, Wilkes, Surry, Yadkin, or Warren County. The applicant cannot have a family member who is employed by Frontier Natural Gas Company, LLC. The applicant must graduate high school in 2016 and start college in the Fall of 2016 and major in science, business, or engineering.

NC State Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship
